A master goldsmith, stone setter, and designer, she lives to create the kind of treasured pieces that live on in family histories. Pinpointing a customer’s style is her passion. That’s why she’s always asking what customers want. Seven handmade pieces created from one 38-carat diamond necklace? The creative ability to finesse preexisting diamonds into a new design? An antique jewelry restoration? Then she listens—not just to listen—but to understand. Because with 39 years of bench experience in creating custom fine jewelry, Denise knows from watching “that sharp intake of breath, that joyful exhale of ‘Oh My God, I Love It!’” that a customer’s happiness is her greatest product.

It began at age five with a friendship bracelet. Great careers sometimes do. Since early childhood, Linnea jeweler Cynthia DePintor has been crafting jewelry. Today, as a GIA graduate jeweler and GIA diamond graduate, Cynthia enjoys the best kind of profession—one that arose from passion. Come to Linnea, and you’ll find Cynthia on the bench, working with gemstones and precious metals while wearing both a smile and her favorite kind of jewelry—a bow ring or something else super kitschy. Her latest dream piece? A diamond unicorn pendant.

Cheryl has been surrounded by jewelry since obtaining her graphic design degree over a decade ago. Her first job, photographing jewelry for an estate store, awakened a love of heirlooms she didn’t know she had—and she hasn’t looked back since. Today, she’s not only Linnea’s graphic designer, she’s also a second Denise—doing everything a store owner needs done, like inventory, sales, and back office management. Cheryl enjoys her many roles (as much as she loves the clean lines of classic jewelry), and believes there’s something hugely special about being a part of a small business.
